  1. Zebras are part of the horse family.

  3. There are three species of zebras: the plains zebra, the mountain zebra, and the Grevy’s zebra.

  6. They can run up to 65 km/h (40 mph).
  7. Zebras have excellent eyesight and hearing.
  8. They communicate with each other using high-pitched barks and whinnies.
  9. A group of zebras is called a “zeal”.
  10. Zebras are social animals and live in groups called “harems” which consist of one male, several females, and their young.
