Learn about Zebras
Zebras are part of the horse family.
They are native to Africa.
There are three species of zebras: the plains zebra, the mountain zebra, and the Grevy’s zebra.
Each zebra has a unique pattern of stripes.
Zebras are herbivores and eat mostly grasses.
They can run up to 65 km/h (40 mph).
Zebras have excellent eyesight and hearing.
They communicate with each other using high-pitched barks and whinnies.
A group of zebras is called a “zeal”.
Zebras are social animals and live in groups called “harems” which consist of one male, several females, and their young.
