The African savanna is vast, diverse and home to some of the most distinct biodiversity in the world.
It is also called tropical grassland.
It has warm temperatures year-round and rainfall is seasonal, being highest in the summer.
The savanna is characterized by grasses and small or dispersed trees that do not form a closed canopy, allowing sufficient sunlight to reach the ground.
African elephants, zebras, flamingos, termites, and diverse species of gazelles are some of the animals that flourish in the ecosystem.
The savanna covers half of the continent of Africa.
The larger animals that can be found in the savanna include elephants, lions, kangaroo, deer, zebra, and leopards.
There are many hunters who like for hunting in the savanna.
The African savanna is known as one of the most valued and celebrated ecosystems.
